The workshop is for all skill levels from beginner to professional

PAINTERLY COLLAGE EXPLORATION
Explore composition, color, texture, light, movement and narrative, while making collages from scratch. We will make our  own materials by mixing colors and painting papers as well as utilizing printmaking techniques such as trace monotypes. In addition, the class will look at noted artists to understand their methodology, discuss their processes, and explore contrasting approaches to creating strong compositions.

Each session will begin with an artist’s talk and demonstration.

This class is for all levels of students intrigued by mixed media/collage and will be a supportive space for us to all relax, create, and have fun. With a minimum of 6 students and maximum of 10 there will be time for individual attention. Sign up early!
